No Hormones. No Antibiotics. All Peace.
Peaceful Pork grows in South Texas mesquite savanna, 100 miles south of San Antonio on Mount Lucas Ranch, located near Dinero, TX. Loncito Cartwright, pig rancher, had a life long goal of feeding people. He'll tell you, all he ever wanted to be was a cowboy, yet dreaming and hard work have brought him into the world of conscious food, raising pigs on their sage brush homeland.
Peaceful Pork's heritage pigs are a cross of old world Large Blacks and Red Wattles with some Berkshire papas for optimum marbling. The pigs are rotated throughout 50 acres paddocks specifically designed for pasture-raised pork. The pigs have constant access to shade and shelter under the mesquite trees, fresh water wallows to stay cool in during the harsh summers, and a constant supply GMO & Soy Free feed. This perfect habitat provides them with a high level of animal welfare, resulting in taste and quality that is unmatched. Peaceful Pork is always seeking new ways to improve production, but it's arguably the most well-designed pastured-pork system in the State of Texas. The pigs are processed at Dean & Peeler Meatworks a state-of-the-art, federally inspected, custom meat processing plant in Poth, TX.
