Grass-fed Beef

Our Longhorn/Devon crossed calves are 100% grass-fed and finished. Our cattle never receive antibiotics or growth hormones. We rotate them frequently through an intensive rotational system to ensure fresh grazing, pasture and soil health, and environmental stewardship. Our calves typically finish at 24 to 28 months old ensuring you a nutrient dense, quality product that is packed with flavor. 

The cattle enterprise at Parker Creek Ranch is truly the heart of our operation. Our family has been raising cattle on this land since 1846. While production systems have changed over time, we are proud to continue this family tradition and lifestyle.

Laying Hens & Egg Mobile

Our laying hens roam free, scratch through the soil and vegetation, dust bathe, and lay some delicious eggs! We have designed four 8' X 20' portable hen houses to provide shelter to our 1,500 laying hens. Each comfortably allows up to 400 hens safe roosting space at night, plenty of nesting space on the exterior of the shelters, a constant supply of fresh water, and access to as much free ranging space as they like. The shelters are moved at minimum once a week, if not more often, to ensure the pasture is not overgrazed and to provide a healthy environment for the hens. They are fed a non- GMO and soy free pellet to supplement their diet of grasses, forbes, and insects.

Pasture-Raised Turkeys

In our pastured poultry system specifically designed for turkeys, our birds free-range within permanent wire paddocks. Shelter is provided by a Clear-Span hoop house that we modified to be portable and is attached to an automatic water system to enure fresh water at all times. We frequently rotate the turkeys throughout our multi-paddock system. They receive all the non-GMO and soy free grain they want. While receiving exercise and fresh air foraging for plants and insect, the turkeys drop manure that adds to the fertility of our soil. We produce several different breeds of turkeys for meat in this system including the Midget White, White Holland, and Broad Breasted White. The turkeys are processed on-farm in our Texas Department of Health Exempt P.L. 90-492 Poultry Processing Facility located on the farm.

Pasture-Raised Broiler Chickens

We raise Cornish-cross chickens on pasture and supplement their diet with a non-GMO and soy free grain. Broilers are rotated daily to ensure fresh pasture, prevent soil compaction and overgrazing, and provide a clean environment for the animals. We utilize a Clear-Span shelter with a portable watering system that provides fresh, cool water at all times. The broilers are processed on-farm between 8 to 10 weeks old in our Texas Department of Health Exempt P.L. 90-492 Poultry Processing Facility located on the farm.

We raise duck and guinea fowl seasonally and love the diversity they add to our farm! They live and roam 100% on the pasture and have their diet supplemented by a non-GMO and soy free grain.
